Great time as always place is always on point, the folks that work at Shinola are great. Had fun at San Mor - The outside. around looked great cant wait to come back

We arrived before check‑in and were told our luggage would be held and placed in our room by 4:00 PM. When we returned at 4:55 PM, our luggage was not in the room (Room 504). We were running late and needed to change for a dinner reservation. Our luggage was finally delivered at 5:20 PM, which caused us to miss our reservation. The room was also extremely loud from street noise. Even with sound masking and ear plugs, we were unable to sleep until after 1:30 AM. Also note they charge a destination amenity fee. These issues — the missed luggage delivery commitment, the missed dinner reservation, the excessive noise, and the unexpected destination amenity fee charge — significantly impacted our stay. We made a complaint to the Director of Front Office and were told there was nothing they could do because we booked through a third party. This experience has made it clear that booking through Expedia offers no protection or support. I will book directly with hotels going forward. Very disappointed. We spent a lot of money and didn’t even make the reservation that was one of the main reasons for our trip.

My boyfriend and I visited the Shinola for our four year anniversary. The hotel was very clean, all of the staff were beyond accommodating and welcoming. Great experience. We also went to the tigers game that night and it was an easy walk to and from comerica park

Sleek modern decor. Comfortable accommodations and professional staff. Living room/ common area service could use more frequent checks and more punctual service. Danielle in reservations and at the front check in desk was so kind and personable. Our go to Detroit hotel.

Everything! We stayed for our wedding night! They were super thoughtful, 5 star experience! We even got upgraded! We definitely will be back for special occasions again! The best hotel in the town! Everything so beautiful!

Beautiful room; the hotel is in an excellent location. Overall very friendly and comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious food. The evening service was superb.

Breakfast is good but the service is rushed and spotty.

Breakfast (continental) was included and it was tasty and well presented. My son and girlfriend left their passports in their room. The staff found these and promptly called us. We were able to retrieve them quickly and prevented a difficult loss for us. Great work and I appreciate how prompt and professional everyone was at the Hotel. Will return again!!! Thanks

Kind staff, clean rooms and artsy vibes. Amazing location. They promote and give discounts to local businesses in the vicinity. Loved it!

Seems the smart TV in our room had issues with connecting via phone as expected from the options that were offered. The thermostat had issues with the display to adjust settings. Being on Woodward avenue it can be a little noisy at night.

Everything, from staff, location, room and the hotel itself - Fine!!
