A fantastic experience from the first step inside to the departure of checking out. If you love great architecture and design, along with hospitality and unique experiences, book a stay at The Shinola Hotel.

Friendly staff, rooms subpar at best. Fireplace didn’t work, no outside cushions, one broken speaker, no hot water, and after checking in no direction to room had to fumble around on the floor and find it ourselves.Nicest part was the record player, but only has a limited records to play.

This hotel is lovely and beautiful and overall I enjoyed my stay. However the bed was extremely uncomfortable so much so that I didn't sleep at all. Also the rooms did not have a small desk or a designated work lounge which would have been useful for me to check emails etc...

My wife and I stayed at Shinola Hotel while attending both a Red Wings game and a Lions game, and it was the perfect choice. The location couldn’t have been more convenient—walking distance to the stadiums and right in the heart of downtown. Valet service was very reasonably priced and impressively fast, which made coming and going effortless. Check-in was super quick and easy, and the hospitality throughout our stay really stood out. The staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely pleasant. The hotel itself has a great atmosphere, and as a fan of Shinola, I loved being surrounded by the brand. Overall, a fantastic stay and one we’d absolutely repeat the next time we’re in Detroit.

Great location! Loved the vibe...very dark and moody in the main areas of the hotel. The champagne upon arrival was a nice touch.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Shinola Hotel. The staff was professional and friendly, and our room was lovely. We appreciated the welcome champagne upon arrival and also took advantage of the complimentary admission tickets to the Detroit Institute of Art. We're looking forward to staying at the Shinola the next time we're in Detroit.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in a while, and I travel a lot for work. Very friendly staff, convenient location - will stay here again when I'm back!
