Myrtle Cottage Vacation Rooms

Jackie is a lovely lady, she was friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us The pub next door has great beer and food, with friendly locals.

Our Two night stay at the very quaint Myrtle Cottage Vacation Rooms was a very enjoyable experience. Our days were spent visiting the more tourist attraction bays and sights, and the more secluded bays, accessible only by foot where swimming in the calm sea from a sandy beach is what being by the sea is all about. We were blessed by excellent weather which made all the difference. Being only around 50 metres away from Two pubs we were spoilt for choice with both offering a fine and wide variety of food and drinks choices. Jackie and Russell were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble, from giving us all the information we needed about the local area, to giving us extra towels to take to the beach. If there was one criticism, it was that the wifi in the property, certainly in our room was either non- existant or so weak we were unable to watch tv. There was no terestial channels and access to the other channes via the internet and wifi such as bbc iplayer, prime, youtube etc was not possible.. We brought this to their attention and I'm sure, being the hosts they are this will be addressed quickly. Would we stay there again? Of course, Would we recommend it to others? We already have.. I had a lovely stay. The room was clean, well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Though there were 2 pubs less than 100 yards away, it was very quiet. Both pubs also served great food, which was very convenient after a day of sightseeing.

Lovely cottage rooms with all you need, Jackie is a great host and very welcoming. The cottage is 2 doors away from a good pub and the food was reasonably priced and delicious, The Joiners Arms. Theres another pub about 25 metres away called The Valley Hotel, which looks good but we never tried it.

a glitch with the owner trying to cancel my booking even though I would have lost my payment in advance- apart from this very comfortable and welcoming on the day

Very quiet and relaxing

The hosts Jackie and Russell were adorable,and nothing was too much to ask. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable, tea and coffee and a kettle in the room. There's two pubs very close by the property,good for food and drinks and socialising. A bus can take you straight into Swansea in about 45 minutes,and it not too far from the beach. We Hope to come again when the weather is warmer. Beautiful country cottage, thank you Jackie and Russell for having us stay at your home.

It is a nice, cosy little room, very well-presented, clean and tidy; the hosts are adorable, friendly and helpful. I would stay again. Highly recommended!!
