Seagrass Inn

We had an awesome stay at the SeaGrass Inn in Old Orchard Beach. The location can’t be beat—right on the beach, which made everything so convenient.

the staff were beyond kind and welcoming! rooms were clean but dated, but far better then other places we have stayed in OOB!

Everything was great. The only thing I would say is maybe get more comfortable beds. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The good: It was within walking distance to the beach, shops and carnival. The room was tiny and dated, but it was clean and adequate. The bad: The smell of marijuana permeates everything. It comes through the vents. The beds and pillows are horribly uncomfortable. My husband described them as, "A box spring without the spring." When I mentioned the uncomfortable bed, the day staff had a well rehearsed response. They said in unison that, "Soneone else said they had the best sleep of their life there!". It was obviously a rehearsed comment. I guess they just don't want to buy mattresses toppers or decent pillows. We are an older couple and we were in awful pain. We ended up hanging out their for the day, but we slept at a nearby Holiday Inn Express that night, so we wouldn't be in such pain. There is a busy, noisy road on one side of the building, and a noisy, busy railroad at the back. Trains run all through the night. All in all, if they improved the beds with even a mattress topper and invest in some new pillows, it would be SO much better. It's a shame that they dismiss that they have a problem.

Everything about this place was on point! Clean and close to the beach! I will be coming back again!

You're not staying here for luxury - the rooms are tiny and very basic, on the old side, but everything is clean and the owners are great. What you're staying here for is access - the beach is right across the street and anything you could want is in easy walking distance. We parked once and never touched our car again. It made for an easy, relaxing vacation.

The owners of the property are super. Nice people, very helpful the area of that. This place is located in it was very convenient around other places. To beaches are right across the street the rooms are small, but they're nice and clean.
