Joglo at Lata Lama

The villa is just amazing. The decor is extremely well curated, making the whole space cozy and relaxing. The location is perfect - less than 5 minutes walking from the beach. The staff is very nice.

Fresh air, next to small padi field. The pool was clean and the breakfast was nice. Ketut and staff were very friendly.

Too pricey considering the amenities at the villa, one-bedroom villa was quite small and needs a lot of maintenance, but everything was working. Many lizards within the vicinity.

Very nice atmosphere. Staff was great. Loved the accomodation! Breakfast was good. Location is near mainstreet with lot's of eateries. Easy access to the beach. A lot of privacy.

the owner was absolutely great. His team was always available. We booked all activities directly at the accommodation and their quality was always 150%. If I ever return to Lovina Beach, then only to the Lata Lama accommodation

This was a return visit and once again it did not disappoint. Right from arrival to departure the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. This little piece of paradise is absolutely stunning. We stayed in Halimah's house with our own private pool, beautifully decorated with the most amazing furnishings. Everything was cleaned to an exceptionally high standard. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the fresh fruit and yoghurt is to die for! The staff and hosts were super helpful and arranged our trip to see the dolphins and to the hot springs. I would definitely recommend staying here, you wont be disappointed! Thank you Lata Lama, once again we'll definitely be back xx

Private pool, close to a beach (not the main one)

Free bike were not in a usable conditions. Breakfast was basic and the fruits tasteless. Extortionate laundry price (3k per item whereas we saw 3k per kg just outside of town and 15k per kg 5 minutes away). Owner doesn't respond on WhatsApp, we always have to go to the reception (which is not convenient when you're on a day trip). The dive trip they arranged for us was super pricey and not good quality (poor safety standards). Wouldn't recommand, especially for the price we paid. The service was not to the level we had in other cheaper places in Bali

We loved our stay at Villa Lata Lama Joglo and highly recommend it! It really has to be seen to be appreciated, as the photos don't do it justice. The joglo has been refurbished and outfitted beautifully but is still very livable. Lots of different spaces to hang out, fantastic pool that gets plenty of sun, and very kind & helpful staff (hello to Ketut and Seger!). Some "good to know" tips: 1) the Joglo is quite hard to find so we strongly recommend arranging airport transport through the villa; 2) villa is located by rice fields so it can be dark while walking to restaurants/beach (recommend renting scooters or bicycles); 3) there is aircon in the bedrooms but the shared living space gets a good cross breeze if you open all the windows; 4) the third bedroom (which is optional to rent) is a separate mini-building attached to the main Joglo; 5) the TV did not work while we were there but that wasn't a big deal for us; 6) there will always be random geckos, ants and flying insects as the windows/doorways don't have screens and you're in the middle of a rice field in Asia! Critters are part of traditional buildings - even beautiful ones - no matter where you are :)
