Very clean , very friendly place to stay

Charming bed and breakfast, beautifully set up. Louie was helpful and informative.

Location, the owner, the style

Only quibble was paying extra for coffee. But I understand why, after talking with Louis

The house and rooms were well appointed. There were a lot of little touches that were very thoughtful.

We had to pay for coffee. It is a bed-and-breakfast, so I guess I thought that the coffee would be included.

I would choose to stay here again if we're coming through Akron. Our host was very friendly, and made a great effort to show us around the place. We spent some time chatting with him about Akron and the neighborhood, and he gave us a great recommendation for dinner right around the corner. Plus, there's an old fashioned Ice Cream Parlor right there by the restaurant, always a win in my book! One of the things I liked most is that here is a guy making a living running a small business, and clearly taking care of his property and his customers, and promoting the great things about his city. We need more people like him, people who don't bail out to the suburbs, or who are part of national conglomerates that take your money out of the local economy. He is part of the revitalization of Akron, doing what needs to be done like in any city in America. I'm happy we got to spend a night in his charming and personable B&B. Thanks!

The breakfast was ok. We did expect a bit more regarding that "very good breakfast" is listed. There is packaged oatmeals (lots of sugar in them). Bagel, muffin with cream cheese. This is kind of standard breakfast in hotels but I would not say "very good". Very good breakfast to us would include eggs of choice, sausages or bacon and some cut up veggies and 2-3 cheeses to choose from. And one kind fresh bread, bagels or croissants from the bakery.
