Downtown Memphis Shellcrest Apartments

It looks cute from the photos.

The AC didn’t work well, the couch was super stained as well as the bed sheets. We were not comfortable because the beds were extremely soft. The bedroom light did not turn off for some reason. When trying to use the TV you had to try 7 times before the TV worked. In general the apartment did not seem very clean.

Fantastic building and furnishings, loved the quirkiness.

Curtain/door from second bedroom to living room; it was uncomfortable with friend sleeping on the sofa effectively in the same room as a couple. If they need the toilet they had to walk through the bedroom to get to it.

Location and the style

Items broken and old food items and poor air conditioning system in the main bedroom.

The accommodation is definitely quite "quirky" and the area it is located in is very quite. After a week we had built up quite a bit of laundry and the washing machine was a welcome sight!

Quite a few things. There was no toilet paper besides the little that was on the roll when we arrived. We also couldn't find out how to switch the light on for the main bedroom - not too sure if this was us or a general electrical fault. These are not deal breakers and can be fixed quite easily. The location, if you like quite is excellent but if your are looking for restaurants it is a little isolated. We walked into town for dinner and ordinarily it wouldn't be a problem but the walkover bridge to cross a very busy road has been occupied by homeless making it a little unsafe. We ended up driving into the city center instead which was not ideal.

Small thing, it would be nice to have a little more places to hang and put away our clothes

the location, set up of the apartment was great, the customer service lady was really awesome. she helped us when needed and quickly. Parking was great. the restaurant across the street had some good food. I was thankful it was seasoning at the apartment cuz we cooked. Very nice place

we loved the quirky feel especially the little spiral staircase!

maybe a second toilet would have improved the property - but it’s an old building and not sure that would have been possible.
