Great location with friendly staff Room was very clean with nice balcony

I specifically booked and paid for the Penthouse Terrace Executive Room based on the description and photos presented on Warwick Geneva’s official website. However, upon arrival, it became obvious that for the first part of my stay I was placed in a different and lower room category, while the reception staff repeatedly insisted that both categories were “exactly the same,” despite the clear differences shown online. As someone working in the travel industry, I find this extremely disappointing because transparency and trust are essential in hospitality. Guests choose and pay for specific room categories for a reason. Being told that two visibly different categories are identical made me feel misled rather than valued as a guest. What disappointed me most was not only the room discrepancy itself, but also the way the situation was handled. Instead of acknowledging the issue professionally, I was repeatedly given explanations that simply did not match the reality of the property or the information advertised online. Geneva and the hotel staff were otherwise pleasant, which is why I chose not to escalate the matter during my vacation. However, I believe future guests deserve honesty and consistency between what is marketed and what is actually provided. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously, especially because situations like this create major issues not only for guests, but also for travel professionals responsible for their clients’ experiences.

Great location, comfortable beds, kind staff , everything is excellent

Perfect location right in front of Geneva Train station. Every amenity, restaurants, signtseeing and tour options, are mere a ~5 minute walking distance from the Hotel. The Hotel staff are very nice and welcoming. The stay is pleasant as the travel during May is the right time (weather wise) for travel. The rooms are small so travel light.

The toiletries were considerably limited. (Ex: No toothpaste, bandaid)

La posizione dell’hotel è sicuramente uno dei suoi punti forti: molto centrale e comodissima, soprattutto perché situata proprio di fronte alla stazione. Nonostante questo, devo dire che la mia esperienza complessiva non è stata all’altezza delle aspettative per un hotel 4 stelle di questa fascia di prezzo (circa 215 franchi con colazione inclusa).

Un aspetto che mi ha creato notevole disagio è stato il deposito cauzionale richiesto al check-in. Avevo già pagato interamente la prenotazione tramite Booking, ma mi è stata comunque richiesta una carta di credito sulla quale bloccare 100 franchi. Personalmente l’ho trovato poco pratico e non del tutto corretto, soprattutto considerando che la prenotazione era già stata saldata e che Booking dispone già dei dati della carta. Inoltre non si trattava di una cifra simbolica, ma di un importo piuttosto elevato. Dal punto di vista del comfort acustico, invece, nulla da dire: la stanza era silenziosa e ho dormito bene nonostante la posizione centrale. Per quanto riguarda la pulizia, ho trovato poco piacevole la presenza di peli/capelli sul coprimaterasso sotto le lenzuola. Comprendo che i tessuti possano provenire dalla lavanderia, ma credo che un controllo finale più accurato sarebbe opportuno, soprattutto in una struttura di questo livello. Anche alcuni dettagli legati ai servizi mi hanno lasciata perplessa: nella confezione delle cuffie da doccia la scatolina era vuota, mentre le ciabattine non erano sigillate, dettaglio che non trasmette particolare cura o sensazione di igiene. Infine, al check-in mi sarei aspettata qualche informazione base che normalmente viene fornita spontaneamente: orari e posizione della colazione, password del Wi-Fi e orario del check-out. Nulla di grave, ma sono attenzioni che fanno parte dell’accoglienza e che contribuiscono all’esperienza generale dell’ospite.

Beautiful hotel in a convenient location in Geneva. Walkable to many sites and restaurants. Staff very polite and attentive. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Breakfast included many options.
