Hotel Monteleone, New Orleans

Beautiful historic hotel located in the French Quarter making it convenient to tour the area. We walked a couple of blocks to have brunch at Brennan's and it was divine.

Hard to go wrong with this iconic hotel. Excellent service and rooms plus the best location in the square. Good luck with valet.

Too- busy, open to public, high traffic, high demand, competition with the French Quarter general public. Nice hotel, never got a seat at the Carousel bar. No management of guest vs public for amenities. Stand and wait for someone to get up is not my idea of a welcoming hotel.

The Jewell of the quarter. Elegance and convenience, tourist centric but with a genuine local vibe. Love this place in every season!

Wonderful location, friendly staff and beautiful historic hotel. So close to Bourbon and Canal Street and easy to walk around the French Quarter.

While the Hotel Monteleone has a beautiful reputation and historic charm, my stay did not fully live up to the price point. The room was noticeably small for what we paid, and the lack of a microwave was inconvenient, especially for longer stays or late-night needs. The biggest disappointment was the inconsistency in room service. Daytime room service was absolutely amazing — great quality, timely delivery, and overall a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, the night shift was the complete opposite. I ordered the exact same items the following night and the service was poor, slow, and the quality did not match what I received earlier. For a luxury hotel at this price level, consistency and basic amenities are expected. While there were some highlights, the overall experience fell short of expectations.

Our family of 5 stayed there between christmas and new years eve. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The hotel is in a great location where you are close to many things within walking distance (jackson square, river walk, hop on hop off bus, canal street, and even WWII museum), but also far enough away from the nightlife that it isn't too overwhelming with kids. The hotel lobby was decorated beautifully for christmas. The rooftop heated pool was a nice bonus activity for the kids too!

Location is perfect. Pricing is very reasonable. Staff is amazing. Accommodations are 4-5 star quality. Will definitely be our first choice when we return.

This is by far the best hotel in the French Quarter! It is a gorgeous hotel, beautifully decorated rooms, friendly staff and delicious food! You will not be disappointed by this hotel. They also have fair prices for the level of service you receive. I have paid much more for this level at other hotels.

We had a great experience at the Monteleone the week between Christmas and New Years. Our trip was to celebrate our daughter's 8th birthday and we had a great time with it. The staff were all the best with their hospitality from the valet to the door staff to the check-in staff. Everyone was helpful and positive and added to a wonderful experience. We appreciate that there was a kind acknowledgement of the birthday celebration we were in town for and for delivering a small treat to us along with a personalized card. What a great experience! We look forward to being back.
