My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Pendry Newport Beach during Labor Day weekend. The entire experience blew our expectations out of the water. The location, the service, the staff, and the amenities were all phenomenal. We plan on returning soon!

"I’ve traveled across the globe and haven’t had so many complaints about one hotel."

The property itself is pretty nice. Common area is well designed, rooms are comfortable.

1. The way the hotel handles credit cards& payments is a disaster. I paid $1800 security deposit when checked in, but in the following days multiple pre-authorized payments were processed for no reason. Three different staffs at the front desk I spoke with told me they were gonna correct these mistakes, which they didn’t. The invoice I received before check out has too many errors on it, and again my credit card was charged before anyone could assist me with that. Still waiting for refund, it’s a mess. 2. Service is slow, this includes valet parking, housekeeping and basically everything else you need help with. 3. Staffs are friendly, but not too friendly to make you feel genuinely welcomed.

We booking of the hotel was great. We were not told that the resort fee and daily parking fee were not included. The hotel is in a great location. Down the street from the mall and close to all of our destinations. The only downside is that the vally service can get backed up. There are a lot of people that show up on the weekend. We waited almost 20 mins on a few occasions to get the car. Other then that, you will enjoy the hitel.

"Are We in Vegas?"

Total party hotel and definitely not five star. (The word got out so the crowd has devolved.) The millennial staff all had attitude like THEY were the guests. Get ready to be woken up by the revving of the rent-a-Ferraris leaving Bar Pendry at 2:00am. Unauthorized valet parking was charged to my room, so was a $17 beer from the minibar. AND a cigarette butt was found on my balcony. (I’m now wondering if someone took advantage of my day trips.) Avoid unless you’re looking for a Vegas-style vacation without the casinos.
