Hotel President Wilson, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Geneva

I have been stolen inside the hotel in the breakfast area No security nothing they took our bag with 20,000 euros and we didn’t get anything back With luxury watches and jewelry in the hotel while eating breakfast !! It was very bad not safe at all very Bad no security very bad

The concierge staff were exceptional - very willing to help and friendly. The waiting staff were variable, from the stand offish to the efficient but not welcoming Best of all was the outdoor pool. Our room opened out directly onto the pool area and it was heaven.

The value for money is questionable. This will not be a concern for the foreign dignataries but was for us. There is also the sense that individual guests are a side concern to the large cohorts of people in attendance for diplomatic, trade or other business

Check-in experience was not welcoming, minimal explanations of facilities, no offer to help with luggage until we asked. My sister’s check-in was delayed for 2 hours till 5pm which was quite inconvenient after our long trip from NZ. Reception staff were very matter-of-fact about it and never offered an explanation or apology for this delay. We were not allowed to charge our breakfast to our room so could not get an itemised bill. Staff were quite open that the reason for this was because they could not trust us to pay at the end of stay. Ramp for luggage in the reception area quite steep which could lead to falls/injuries
