Front desk person was excellent

I was in town one night for business. The pictures of the hotel online looked good, price was ok, so I selected this hotel. First, I did not see that they were doing renovations. My bad for apparently missing that. The positive - the front desk agent was fabulous. Very helpful, very friendly, fast check in. The bed was comfortable. The negative. Ok, not only did the room need an upgrade but the hair dryer did too. I have pictures. I haven't seen a a hair dryer at any hotel...and I travel ALOT...like this. I pulled it out of the bag and the handle was SO STICKY. I'm guessing hair products. Hoping and praying it was hair products. Hair stuck to the hair dryer. I've included photos. Microwave had something previously cooked in it that smelled bad 😞 The curtains did not fully cover the window. A huge bright light was directly outside the room so I couldn't get it dark enough. One side of the sheers was completely missing. Then the ac. I didn't realize it until I woke up the next morning that it was blowing black stuff onto the bed. No wonder I woke up congested and sniffling. If the rest of the rooms are like this, then the renovation is long overdue.

I booked this hotel because they advertised a shuttle to and from the airport, which we needed. When we arrived, there was no such service, although we saw the shuttle van outside the property. Cost us $40 more in Uber fees. I wouldn’t trust what they advertise.

The rooms are old and dingy. My first room had a non-working AC unit. When I called down the front desk apologized and said they would actually upgrade me and to come down and get a new key. The new room was not an upgrade, it was an accessible room that was in even worse shape, but at least the AC worked. The room had broken and mismatched tiles in the bathroom, a stained chair in the corner and an overall roadside motel feel. I strongly recommend not telling guests, especially Titanium members, you are upgrading them when you are giving them an accessible room, which I doubt anyone without a disability would consider an upgrade. This hotel was a huge disappointment but had signs they are set for a full renovation this year, which clearly cannot come fast enough, I only stayed for one night thankfully but I do not expect id consider this hotel in the future.
