The hotel and its' surroundings is beautiful and it has been since it was built, but it is the staff that made this property shines. The rooms were newly renovated felt very luxurious which is rare for a historical hotel this calibre. The staff are the true beating heart of this property. Constanza at house keeping was kind to us and help to care for my mother and her mobility issue, she went out of her way to make us feel that we were at home ( albeit a luxurious one). Aurora the hostess at the terrace lounge went out of her way to make my introverted daughter felt welcome. She was informative, attentive, and kind. Her genuine kindness will always be remembered by my daughter and is one of the highlight of her stay at the hotel. No words can describe the property and its' beauty, one should always experience it themselves.

One of the best hotels my wife and I have had the pleasure to visit. Can't beat the location (right off the Corso Italia), and the patio in our room offered a stunning view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Additionally, the service was truly 5-star, putting this resort in a rarefied league of hotels and resorts. Finally, if you're a foodie, I would suggest making a reservation at their Michelin-starred restaurant far in advance. We arrived in late April and found it fully booked for the duration of our stay. That said, there are many wonderful restaurants just a short walk from the hotel. Highly recommended.

The location and hotel itself are truly spectacular! Despite this, my experience was not as idyllic as other guests. I booked this hotel nearly a year in advance, relying on the descriptions and images presented on the website. I initially booked a Deluxe Junior Suite Sea View – Terrace (sleeps three) and explicitly requested TWO beds, as reflected in the description indicating “double beds” , connecting room and a sofa bed On April 12, I emailed to inquire about an upgrade. I was offered a DOUBLE upgrade to a Suite Deluxe Sea View at half the upgrade cost. The description of this upgraded suite states that it sleeps four, includes a full sea view, and offers a separate living area, with either a king-size bed or twin beds . I I accepted the upgrade and sent a follow-up email requesting confirmation of TWO beds. Upon arrival, I was brought to our “suite" What in reality, was simply one room with two beds and minimal furnishings (picture attached) This does not align with any reasonable or standard definition of a suite, nor does it match what is advertised on the website for Junior Suite Deluxe or the Deluxe suite, which referenced "a separate living area and accommodations for up to four guests." When I brought this to the attention of the Front Desk personnel, I was informed that “not all suites are the same” and that the building’s age accounts for discrepancies between what is shown online and what is actually provided. The front desk manager repeated the same explanation. At that point, I was left wondering if they truly believed I was that ignorant. After much discussion, I was offered a two-room suite, with the caveat that it had a king bed that could not be separated, and that a rollaway bed could be placed in the other room. Again, this was not what I booked or what was confirmed. At that point, I presented all of my email correspondence confirming both the upgraded suite category and the confirmed request for two beds. I also showed them the descriptions of the suites on the website and they acted like they had never seen them. They stated they needed to “speak with marketing" Obviously, the hotel did not have a suite reserved, matching what I had booked and confirmed, and instead attempted to substitute something inferior while still charging the agreed rate. To summarize, I was shown a single room with two beds and minimal furnishings, presented as a “Deluxe Suite,” because, the building’s age justifies discrepancies between advertising and reality. It is an issue of inaccurate representation and failure to deliver what was advertised and booked. Ultimately, the front desk manager provided us with the Pavarotti Suite. A gorgeous suite, which we very much enjoyed and appreciated . However, the path to that resolution is the issue. A more appropriate approach would have been to acknowledge that the reserved room type was unavailable and proactively offer a comparable or superior alternative. Yes, they ultimately did the right thing. However, the situation was handled in a way that dismissed my credibility as a client. They tried to take the low road in a high end luxury category.

A truly grand hotel. The hard product and more importantly the people make this a truly great place to stay. Warm and friendly service very professional from dining to housekeeping everything is perfection. Memorable!

The setting was breathtaking—sunlight dancing over the ocean and Sorrento coast from the view on our balcony, the lush gardens, and other views that seemed pulled straight from a postcard. The atmosphere was so serene, yet every corner of the grounds were so full of life and history, with thoughtful details that made the stay feel truly special. It was an experience that captured the romance and soul of Sorrento perfectly, and one my wife and I will never forget!
