Sun Rocks Boutique Hotel

This was our second time in Santorini and it didn't disappoint. The hotel was located in firostefani which is a few minutes walk from Fira or Imerovigli. We booked a junior suite but was upgraded to a honeymoon suite as they new it was out 10th wedding anniversary. Senhorita Margarita and her staff we user friendly, always looking after us. They boys at the breakfast/pool area were super nice. The reception staff always greeted us with a smile. We were given a complimentary mobile phone which we could take with us and contact hotel if we ever needed a taxi. I would definitely recomend Sun Rocks

Super friendly staff and fabulous views - the stairs aren't as bad as oft reported however that's possibly because our room was near reception. Even coming back from the pool, all you need to do is pace your ascent.

I cannot describe in words the scenic beauty of this island, especially the westward facing hilltop we were on. I have to remark that more should be made of the steepness of the descent and ascent to rooms, as we are not after all as young as we used to be. Perhaps a line or two on the web site? Still, a 9 out of 10 for overall experience and the staff, including the excellent GM Margarita, all professional, willing and helpful. "I'll be back"...( in the immortal words of one action hero!). My girlfriend and I went here for her birthday. I had a hard time choosing a hotel because I'd never been to Santorini and I didn't know where we should stay. Also the hotels seemed somewhat similar. After staying here I can tell you they're not. This hotel was in a perfect location. Literally minutes from Fira (the busy downtown commercial area) but it was quieter. The view is literally surreal. The hotel staff was very helpful and genuinely nice. They did everything they could to accommodate whatever we needed and wanted. The pool is great. The hotel food was awesome. And the manager Margarita is probably the best manager of any hotel I have personally ever visited. She was excellent to us and focused her attention on each individual guests stoping to say hello and asking if we needed anything on a daily basis. If we are lucky enough to stay in Santorini again, we would only go back to this hotel

From the moment we arrived for our honeymoon we knew we had made the right choice. The staff were amazing and took care of our bags (just as well since there were 190 steps down the cliff to our room), gave us refreshment and were generally really awesome. The view from basically everywhere is amazing. We ate outside every morning and just loved sitting with that view. Our superior suite was all we needed. A little space to chillax, a bed and a shower. We had a personal terrace and hot tub (note that whilst we had exclusive use of the terrace there was access to a few other suites across it for guests - but this wasnt an issue). Negatives - only very minor - and only mentioned for info. 1.the cost of items in the mini bar is excessive. We ended up buying bits at a shop 5mins from the hotel at half the price and bringing them back to the room. 2. No kettle in the room. Well we are British after all and my wife likes her tea which she could only get with breakfast (unless ordered to room). There was a Nespresso machine. 3. There were 3 weddings in our week long stay. If like us and are not party animals and go to bed early and have a suite near the bottom then this may keep you up until 11-12ish 4. There are a lot of steps down to the superior suites at the bottom. We had to take a break on the way up each morning. These were minor and we believe we had the perfect time as a result of staying with Sun Rocks. If you want to stay somewhere amazing, look no further. #Heaven.
