"Wonderful Stay!"

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at this property while picking up our son from SIU. If I am being honest, I was a bit skeptical about staying in a 100+ year old school classroom. Not anymore. Rooms were huge, beds are super comfortable, great shower pressure, etc. All the things that you would expect from a high end hotel. Lyle and Tammy were great hosts and the breakfast was fantastic! (Baked french toast with apples, eggs with cheese, fresh fruit, and OJ). We will definitely be back again. :)

This is the most unique place I’ve stayed in and couldn’t believe the service. The owners provide a great place, fantastic breakfast, and recommendations about local attractions and activities. Can’t wait to stay again!

Old building but very clean with spacious room, comfortable bed, and updated bathroom (including jacuzzi) and strong Internet. Excellent homemade breakfast. Attentive innkeeper. Would definitely return on another trip to the area.

Amazing ! We had such fun in tge 2 Nd grade class room! Our host, Lyle gave us a fantastic tour of tge whole school house. Recommend that travelers go out of your way to MAKE THIS YOUR DESTINATION!we will be back for sure!

"Excellent Bed and Breakfast"

This is an excellent bed and breakfast that is in a former school that was built in 1910. Each room has a theme such as the Geography Room with maps and atlases. The rooms are very spacious and decorated with books and antiques . The breakfasts were gourmet quality with more than enough food to eat. The innkeepers are very gracious and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would return the next time we are in Southern Illinois.

"Fun time, Would Repeat"

Great Time. Good Hosts, interesting place. Floors are Creaky, but added to the charm rather than took away from it. Wonderful patio outside for relaxing.
