Davie School Inn

We were welcomed by Lyle and Tammy at 11:30 PM with smiles on their faces and a willingness to meet out every need. It was a very unique place to stay and from what we could see the best place to stay in the area. Each room was tastfully decorated in a unique way. We stayed in the pink room and it was the size of a large classroom with a kitchenette, a full private bath and a jaccuzzi in the room. Each morning we were given an outstanding breakfast at the exact time we requested. Lyle and Tammy could not have been nicer and more accomodating than they were. Shawnee Forest is massive and not everything is well marked. Lyle knows where all the places are and he can show you places that are not easy to find and save you lots of time. It is well worth the stay and when you go say hello to Lyle and Tammy for us.

We stayed in the Brown room for our visit. The property is unique, with amenities in addition to what is advertised online. The service is friendly, personal, and high quality. The beds were perfect. Even the breakfast was served hot & fresh to our room at the moment we wanted it! I look forward to staying there again. The only improvement I could think of is for me to have asked how to operate the Keurig. I felt ridiculous calling for help making coffee :p

This is a completely unique b+b! We stayed in the blue room (2nd grade). The owners are on site and are prepared to take care of your every need. We had a delicious breakfast. If you are in the are don't miss this place!

This place is a hidden gem. Truly a unique b&b, (and I've been to a few!). The owners have thought of everything and you never lack for treats or coffee here. They have popcorn, treats and snacks set out for the guests and each room has a kureg with tons of coffee, teas and hot cocoa for every taste bud. The common area has a plethora of board games and puzzles to chose from as well as some in the rooms. The rooms? HUGE! and each has their own "feel" to it. I'm picky about my mattress selections but the queen bed I slept on was perfect. The sheets are also premium. Two things to keep in mind - noise does bleed over from floor to floor BUT they do have a posted quiet time which is 10:30-7, and it never bothered us. We also stayed on the 2nd floor, facing the road (yellow room) which isn't very dark in the a.m. - but again, it didn't bother me as I'm an early riser. Lyle and Tammy were excellent hosts, they really wanted to make sure we had everything. Breakfast was delicious. I can't wait to come back and try out a different themed room!
