It’s a hidden gem! You have to cross a bridge to find this beauty. The lodge was clean and beautiful but our favorite part of the property is the staff!! The staff is incredible!! In every way, they are there with kindness, respect and support. Oscar helped us with a situation with a tour and made our trip! He was fantastic, he speaks English and does his best to make sure his guests are happy. All of the staff worked so hard to help us with a variety of needs and Oscar went far beyond normal responsibilities. Christian was also so helpful and kind. You can trust them and know they have your back! This is the place to stay in Puyo!!

Hosteria Flor de Canela was our perfect resort in Puyo. We were on the edge of the Amazon in our rustic lodge. The night sounds were full of natural music from the frogs, birds & insects. Our lodge screens kept us protected from unwelcome insects. The property was very well maintained with a clean pool & hot tub. Workers were constantly trimming trees and keeping plants & flowers in top condition.

Dirty. For the price I paid sheets had stains and dirty. The floors and bathroom clean. But my main purpose was to be central and be able to rest. I could not as bedding was dirty and I was disappointed with the excuses and service provided by owner present the next morning.

This is an experience hotel. We traveled here to see Ecuador and what makes it unique and this hotel fulfilled this purpose. It screams !rainforest! from the bungalows to the pool and the dining area. You are immersed in the Amazon. The grounds are lush and the lighting is appealing. The bedroom is not luxury comfortable but I had no problem sleeping. I would strongly suggest booking this hotel. Mother nature even helped our vibe by raining in the evening and what a joy to hear it against the palm frons outside the window.

There needs to be little updates such as a towel rack in the bathroom and a rack to put soap on in the shower. They are trying to have an authentic experience but they need to add a few modern day conveniences. They did a great job adding a light beside the bed and incorporating the bamboo aesthetic. This needs to happen in the bathroom as well.

Lovely wooden cabins in a beautiful setting. The sauna and hot tub were perfect for relaxing after a week in the jungle.

to be honest for the price I was expecting something a lot nicer, the room smelt like mould / lack of air flow - which due to the climate does make sense but some fans or something would help. there was a dirty couch in the corner which in my opinion would be better just to throw out! the shower hot water was temperamental - it sometimes didn’t warm up after 10 minutes then would turn off and on and it would be warm. bit frustrating. also my room, the wifi had 1 bar.

Nice place to stay with kids. They enjoy the pool all day. Pool is cold but kids didn’t care though. The jacuzzi was nice too and the staff are very friendly

Food service wasn’t available during my stay. They helps us to get food from outside restaurants
