Hotel Triton Union Square San Francisco

I stayed at Hotel Triton from April 22–25. On April 23, the room alarm clock, which I had not set, went off early in the morning. I stopped it, and the display indicated it was turned off. However, the alarm sounded again at the same time on April 24. I reported the issue to the front desk that morning and was told a service person would arrive promptly. I informed the person I’ll be in my room for 30–45 minutes, but no one arrived until approximately an hour later, requiring me to delay my departure. The technician adjusted the clock and assured me the issue was resolved. Despite this, the alarm went off again on April 25 at the same time. I called the front desk at approximately 6:15 a.m. and spoke with Aye, who indicated that someone would be sent immediately. By 8:40 a.m., no one had arrived, and I received no follow-up. I subsequently went to the front desk, where Aye stated that the request had been passed to service. At a minimum, I would have expected proactive follow-up from the front desk to confirm whether the issue had been addressed. This is a basic standard of professional service. While the accommodations themselves were satisfactory, the repeated service failures over consecutive days are concerning and reflect poorly on operational management. I travel to San Francisco frequently and selected this hotel for its proximity to my event; however, based on this experience, I do not plan to stay here again.

Nice location, easily accessible, nearby restaurants + transit, daily continental breakfast + wine social are very basic but still welcome additions.

$30 “early check-in fee”. No other hotel has ever charged to check into a room that was empty + ready, but it was before 3 pm. Tacky, + will keep me away as long as it remains in place.

Overall charming boutique hotel but several details seriously detracted from the experience. Scented fragrance in the room was overpowering and unpleasant. Bathroom light automatically turned off after 2-3 minutes leaving you the dark trying to find the switch. Front desk hostess at check-out was very rude, especially when we asked to store our bags for the afternoon (we had a late flight). Free happy hour was a pleasant bonus however!

Building is quite old and room was super small. Breakfast was only carbs & juice. Would have loved eggs.

Our growing company needed a place for two days of training that could also accommodate a few out of towners. We were given access to a classy and well-equipped meeting room. Gabi was on top of all our needs. Don't sleep on the Hotel Triton

I enjoyed my stay at the Triton Hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice but one member really stood out, Alice was exceptional. She answered questions, had conversations with me, looked up information and even called restaurants for me. The sweetest thing she helped me with was assisting me requesting my first ever Waymo ride. And then she came out of the hotel to help me acknowledge the taxi and took my picture. Alice really made my stay in San Francisco 100% better. Thank you Alice and Hotel Triton.
