Red Lion Hotel Kelso

I would not stay here again. The first night, I was given a ground floor room, which I should have immediately declined as a woman traveling alone. The floor to ceiling window had a slider large enough for someone to fit through and a block that jiggled enough to come loose and be opened. The screen looked like someone had tried to remove it. Scary. They moved me to an upstairs room that was better, but had no alarm clock, stains of I don't know what on the chair, walls, carpet, and even the picture glass. The decor is old, the carpet and upholstery is stained. It's not kept up very well. I stayed two nights and there was no maid service for the room the first day. The breakfast was ok, but the general slovenliness of the place made me feel it was definitely past it's prime and the current management just does not care.

The breakfast was lacking. We went down towards the end, but it was very sparce and un inviting.

The bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot.

The first room we were given smelt like mildew and mold so bad it made me nauseous. The second room the toilet ran consistently through the night, there was no plug for the tub, no heat lamp in the bathroom, the mini fridge was broken we had drinks to store but could not. We were tired at this point that we didn't feel the need to complain and move again. We had a better stay the first time we stayed over this time.

No restaurant, bar as advertised .Was told that just because it shows it on the web doesn't mean that they have one. Tried to cancel on the first day and told that it was too late to cancel even for the second day. I really hope that I am contacted by the main office as I want to explain everything that I experienced. I am still in shock!!I have never given a bad review in my life until now. Please have somebody contact me and I can send video and photos of what I learned of the RED LION in Kelso Washington.

There was dried urine on the toilet. And the shower head didn’t work. Tub didn’t drain. Also pretty gross. No hot coffee in the morning.

While the room was clean, the carpets desperately need replacing.
