Red Lion Hotel Redding

The room was clean and quiet. Bed was great comfort. Slept very well.

NO ELEVATOR!!! Carpets worn/frazzled, had to walk around the whole building to access the dinning room and front desk. Unable to walk around the courtyard, no sidewalk from one side to the other. You had the temerity to ask for $9.00 for a breakfast the quality of a Super 8 or motel 6 breakfast. Are you kidding me!!! BTW, I noticed no one was eating, that says it all. I've been staying in Red Lions intermittently since 1972. This is absolutely the worst property I've ever been in. I'm 80 years old, my wife 83, what we didn't need was to work up a sweat just leaving the property.

Staff was attentive. We had to call twice to get our tv and remote working. The man arrived quickly and resolved issues both times.

The photos showed a much more inviting setup than what I experienced. Our room faced the courtyard, which was more of a storage space for chairs and other equipment, etc. Our balcony had not been cleaned in a long time with cobwebs everywhere. not a very inviting set up. Lots of little repairs needed. Paint on stairwells, etc. not a horrible place but for the same price I could have gotten newer and better.

The room was clean and the Breakfast was decent.

I booked two like rooms with a pool/garden view three weeks prior to our trip. Instead of being adjoining rooms they split our locations and neither of our rooms had a pool/garden view. both had a view of the parking lot. They also put us next to a family with small children screaming and crying at 6am. The bed was also very uncomfortable. Very disappointed with the stay.
