DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Downtown

Business colleagues highly recommended I stay at the Double Tree in downtown Omaha for its staff, rooms and location. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me as if I was a long time, customer or old friend. The front desk addressed every question with kindness and respect, friendly drivers shuttled me to and from various restaurants when the December weather was too cold cold for me to walk. The food and bar service were timely, convenient, and satisfying. A shoutout to Mackenzie for being the friendliest front desk support I have ever known. She was quick to be helpful and was empowered by her management to make decisions that made my three stay most memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for any business traveler. Thank you Mackenzie and team.

Nice place.. a little older but still nice. would stay there again for sure. walking distance to the Theater

To start the parking (finding the parking) was very difficult. I had to call the hotel to find out where to park. Upon walking into the hotel the front desk staff was very nice. That’s about where my great experience was over. Getting on the the elevator it was very shaky and small. Then getting to the 18th floor where we had a 2 bedroom family room when we got to our room and opened the door we had to shove and once inside the door almost fell off the hinges because they were loose we had to lift up on the door and push it closed. Then first world problems the TVs were not working so had to call someone to come change the input as we didn’t have access to that remote. When they get their the laughed at the door and stated someone should fix that… no duh. Then upon going into the bathroom we found out the sick had no hot water when you turned the faucet there was nothing, then when we went to take a shower it was luke warm never got hot even when cracked all the way up. My kids wanted to go swimming so took them down to the pool but soon found out it was not warm either and didn’t swim long. We didn’t wait the breakfast so don’t know how that was. It’s clear this hotel needs a big renovation and I’m sure the draw is the location so close to the event center but to pay what we did and the quality was disappointing.

As a regular guest at this hotel I have seen the ups and downs, but we seem to be back on an up. The hotel is dated, no doubt, and that comes with shortcomings like power outlets, and bathroom size, with tubs instead of walk in showers. However, we seem to be in a cycle now with fantastic desk staff (Mackenzie crushed the welcome this week) and I sense that a physical refresh is in the works. The breakfast buffet is a great feature. There is a broad selection though at times the individual item quality can vary. There is always something to find there

Very clean property - one of the best in Omaha. Got my cookie. Place smelled great. Mackenzie at the front desk was the best. 10/10 customer service per usual. Will definitely be back. Mattresses are comfortable and sheets are soft. Bartender was super friendly as well.

Clear there hasn't been an update of the property in a while. As a place to crash, it was fine. But clear wear and tear in the room.

Mackenzie greeted us and made the checkin process smooth. The bar staff is excellent as well. Good location to restaurants and night life. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Overall positive experience I will be back sooner rather than later
