Days Inn by Wyndham Mooresville Lake Norman

I hate writing reviews like this but hopefully it will offer an insight to future travelers. This was a last resort booking for multiple rooms for multiple nights. Virtually all other hotels in the area were booked solid due to some major fishing tournament on Lake Norman that no one disclosed ahead of time. First they did not have king size beds available even though that is what we booked for. Rooms were very dated in spite of management stating they had been renovated recently. Toilet in my room ran all night. Spoke to them about it in the morning and they would fix it but no-one ever did the entire stay. Coffee pot was so dirty that black chunks were coming out in the carafe. Door to the bathroom was hung backwards. Just too many things to mention. My brother's room had similar dysfunctional issues that were never corrected after notifying management. The continental Breakfast that was supposed to come with the room never existed. Will NEVER stay here again. I will say they offered us a tiny discount after our stay since they never got anything corrected but it was actually ridiculous.

Location was good, just off Interstate 77. Room was generally clean and the bed fairly comfortable. The shower was excellent with good water pressure. The AC/ Heating system was good.

The TV was bizarre. Needed assistance from the desk just to get it to work and it was more trouble than it was worth. The toilet was so low to the ground my wife had a very difficult time using it. Toilet barely flushed. Toilet paper holder was also broke. The lighting in the room was bad. The night desk clerk was not friendly at all however to her credit did come to the room to help with the TV.

The staff was nice and bed was comfortable.

My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The TV didn’t work at all, and I found a stink bug crawling in the bathroom along with a dead spider on the wall. The toilet leaked water every time it was flushed, and the air vents were extremely dusty—which is especially bad for someone like me who has allergies (see attached pictures). The hotel is located right off the expressway, so you hear traffic all night long. I also noticed a few homeless individuals lingering around the property, which made me feel uncomfortable. I only stayed for one night, and that was more than enough. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this Days Inn again.
