The Hay - Adams

The Hay Adams NEVER disappoints. We spend a long weekend in DC with room service every morning, cocktails in the hotel bar and dinner at Lafayette - all were absolutely wonderful. Room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. A boutique hotel worth every penny.

Fabulous hotel!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this hotel is. We have stayed here numerous times and have always had the best experience! We decided to stop for a few days in DC after a road trip to Maine for a family wedding and of course chose the Hay as our accommodations. There is just something about their level of detail in welcoming guests that goes above and beyond. They were so helpful in arranging dinner reservations and a day at Arlington. Their bar, Off The Record, is so fun, fantastic, and delightful to come back to after a day of sightseeing! The service is incredible with many quality little details. The rooms are gorgeous and luxurious. We feel spoiled every time we get to stay there. It is a beautiful gem with a great location!

We had our wedding at the Hay-Adams, and while the setting was stunning and the food absolutely delicious, what truly stood out was the staff. Nearly every guest commented on how kind, genuine, and attentive they were—it made the entire experience unforgettable.

If you want perfection, stay at the Hay Adams. It’s in a perfect location near the White House. Everything in our room and the hotel in general is kept in pristine condition. The fruit in our welcome basket was perfect and could have been the subject of a still life portrait. We were upgraded because of booking with Platinum American Express to a room looking out to the beautiful park across the street with views of the White House. We were treated as valued guests by every employee that we encountered. Also with our Platinum card benefit we enjoyed a delicious daily breakfast for 2 in their beautiful dining room. We had some personal complications with our arrival and their concierge Francesca (spelled differently) was a super hero in helping us every step of the way. I cannot recommend this hotel high enough… much more than 5 stars!

Staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful from beginning to end of our visit. Room was very nice, with tasteful decor, good climate control, very clean. Our dinner in the Lafayette Restaurant was certainly one of the best meals we have eaten in Washington. Valet parking was convenient and quick. Location is excellent for sightseeing. Information and photographs about the hotel's history were fascinating.
