Beau Rivage Geneva

Located among the 5 finest hotels in Geneva, on the lake, it suites most needs. We attended a meeting in the Palexpo which requires a 6-7 minutes walk to the main trainstation and then train to the airport ca 5 min (3 CHF) and then 6 min walk. Better than a taxi. We had a large wonderful comfortable room with a view to the alley but that did not matter. You have to sit down and have a drink in the bar! A pianist, a nice lady, played beautiful piano music. This is not a cheap hotel but well worth everything in my mind.

The hotel was not as I expected,the breakfast was not good ,at all!comparing to other 5star hotels in Geneva. There is no facilities such as pool.... They have a small terrace which dose t have a beautiful view as it half covered with not beautiful!flowers.... But the room was clean ,there were not daily water in the room while there are in any 5star hotel around the glob!! It didn't worth it really. The only thing which was really nice was the interior design!

We were able to check in hours early, which was appreciated after an all night flight, and were upgraded to a room with a water view, including the Geneva fountain, and a huge private terrace. Staff great, they remembered our names and greeted us every time we returned from an outing. Super clean and everything was top of the line luxury. Lots of closet space, a safe, two bathrooms. Looked like it was fully renovated but still had old city charm.

The hotel was really really old and has not been retouched so it didnt give me that luxurious 5star feeling. The staff were nice though and the location of the hotel was superb. The rooms were really spacious.

Facility and staff & service was exceptional!

This was one of the best hotel stays I have had and considering I spend 40-50 nights a year in hotels shows that this hotel is really something very special. The main difference to other top hotels is their staff, extremely friendly and attentive in a way that make you feel like a real guest not just a stay over you may never see again. The fact that it has been owned by the same family for more than 150 years might also help explain why it is so special.

Large suite that was quiet and very well appointed Very comfortable I had reserved a lake view room which are much more expensive in Geneva. The view was really only 'partial' lake view as it was more to the side of the building. When I requested a better view I was offered the same room 2 floors up. Marginal better. There is definitely a bias in many properties for guests booking through sites like Hotels.com. Some even admit that. The hotel didn't seem overly busy so I think they were just staying with the policy of descrimindting. Not always the case though some larger hotels upgrade on quiet nights. Not in this case

Fabulous restaurants, bar, staff, location. This is a true five star hotel. The best of the best.

Fantastic hotel! The staff was most friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated. A mixture of old style and high tech. The bed was very comfortable and free movies in the room. Also conveniently located within walking distance of all of Geneva best sites and gorgeous view on the lake. I will be back!!!
