The location to MD Anderson.

The shuttle service delayed my travel to Mays Center due to the driver not showing up for a 6am ride for a 6:15 appointment. Also, in the room, it had an odd smell. I dealt with it, but it was not pleasant once entering the room.

Well, this was a last minute check in due circumstances related to treatment in the medical center. Nevertheless, from check-in to breakfast service. The professionals here at this location truly understand the circumstances that most visitors maybe dealing with. They’re compassionate, attentive and accommodating in most reasonable ways. We didn’t have any toiletries or anything and they sent packages to our room a within 10mins of checking in - 2am! During breakfast in the M lounge, we met Maraceli who took care of not only our table but everyone else’s with the same level of detail and attention. We are so grateful to have had this experience considering the circumstances but the stay here at the Marriott certainly made the journey a little more comforting and better. The checkin experience was good and I would of left a 4 star cause Im honestly not a 5 star unless exceptional service comes into play, 4 stars are very good to me. The M club experience at this location is what compelled the 5 star!! While I was waiting for my room my Titanium lvl afforded me the chance to relax and eat in the M club. The service by Maraceli (hope I didnt butcher her name) was above and beyond. She was non-stop conversing, servicing, and helping everyone in the room! Truely exceptional service with a smile! I cant say enough on how that elevated my 4 star review to an exceptional 5. A lot of Marriot named hotels I have stayed at are surviving by the name alone and no longer have this quality of service sadly. This Houston one is definitely setting a great example.

Convenience because it's close to the various hospitals. It was clean. I didn't enjoy the hotel allowing pets (someone had some yappy dogs nearby). Restaurants were just okay and I felt were overpriced. I spent around $35 for breakfast, it was not great. Coffee was not great and dinner was just average for about $50. Will definitely eat conservatively if I stay again.
