Houston Marriott Medical Center/Museum District

We were so pleased with our entire experience at the hotel, and in particular would like to point out the wonderful service in the M Club. Our hostess and server, Maraceli, was so personable and represented the Marriot brand beautifully. She is professional, while also being warm, and was so attentive to our needs. We even had the pleasure of meeting her daughter, TaiTa, who is the hostess in the regular breakfast room. Maraceli and the entire Marriott team we interacted with throughout our stay, from the front desk to valet parking to M Club, were uniformly excellent.

Stayed at the Marriott Medical Center while in town for the NCA Nationals competition (the Super Bowl of cheerleading!) From the minute we arrived at the valet/checkin everyone was so polite, helpful, calm in the chaos that is a major cheer competition. The room was great- clean, amazing pillows, friendly housekeeping staff and perfect little gift shop downstairs with snack, drinks, mini coffee shop and adorable souvenirs, etc. The bar/restaurant was perfect and we enjoyed the Rodeo specials nightly along with my fav beer- Karbach Love Street -while my daughter highly recommended the Prickly Pear margarita. Loaded potato skins, burgers, etc were all a hit- loved the French Onion soup ❤️ left for home super early Monday morning and *Jason* was so helpful getting our car quickly and loading up an over abundance of luggage with a smile on his face so we could get on the road asap. Thank you for wonderful experience and amazing staff! We enjoyed every interaction with every staff member. Not sure when we’ll be in Houston again but would definitely stay here the next time we visit!

I am a loyal Bonvoy member and always try to stay at Marriott properties when I travel. When the Westin was not available, I chose this property next door, assuming it would be similar, given it is actually more expensive than the Westin. Nope. Not even a little bit. This hotel is in a great location and the staff really do try very hard to be service oriented. Unfortunately, they can not make an old, tired, dark, dirty, musty, smelly building better. The rooms have dark, old, filthy carpeting along with dingy grey and brown curtains that accentuate the depressing mood. The seating bench had food crumbs jammed in the space between the worn out vinyl seat and the wall, and I picked up food on the floor. Every surface is stained, chipped, worn, or just dirty. The aircon vent looks like a dryer in a public laundromat. My disposable slipper bottoms were brown after less than 24 hours in the room. The bathroom floor was sticky and there was hair on the counter. My 'feather free room' had eight feather pillows and two feather duvets. Between the overwhelming amount of feathers + the dirt, I had difficulty breathing The linens are old and thin, and the foam pillows are almost flat. I really wanted to like this place but there is just too much to overlook for $400+ per night. And oh, they charge a 'resort fee' - not sure what resort they are supporting but the pool and gym do not rise to resort level, imho. Lastly, the shuttle service was great on the way to my morning appointment, but failed to show up for the return. Two calls and 42 minutes later, and I had to take an Uber back to the hotel for $30. If you care about cleanliness, don't like dungeons, or want to get to and from your medical appointments on time, this is not the place for you.

Love the M Club breakfast buffet options & the courtesy staff. Maraceli is always the first to greet all guests & is ready to serve everyone. She is always thoughtful- asking about your day & there is anything you need to make your experience great!!! Thanks a ton

The Bonvoy Lounge experience was exceptional. I’d like to personally say a huge thank you to Maraceli. She is very professional, attentive.

Fatah is a great driver he welcomes me in

I attended a conference in the Medical Center and had a great stay with Marriott. The valet, Fatah was so friendly and quick. He was helpful and attentive. The fully enjoyed the room which was comfortable. I had a great stay thanks to your staff.

Beautiful hotel-nest and clean but the best part are all the wonderful people there making the difference! From the front desk with Paulina and the gang always smiling and super helpful to the M Club with the most caring and thoughtful team to Peter in Maintainence not to mention the wonderful super polite and professional shuttle drivers Joel, Ro and Chris—couldn’t ask for better! We had to be there for several weeks straight and the quality never wavered with any one on the team. This is truly and exceptional hotel! Wouldn’t hesitate one second to stay whenever we have to go to Houston.
