Trumbull Marriott Shelton

Stayed here 3 times in last 90 days. Gone from 1 of 3 elevators down to 2 of 3. Concierge’s area on level four shut down is out of service, overflowing trash in the outside trash barrels. Hot water shut off this morning with no notice, tried to talk to manager gave up after 10 minutes on phone. Was also there for the rat pack event last month, which was great, but banquet facilities did a horrible job. This used to be a premier hotel in the area that is now gone down into the dumps. There are much better facilities in the area to take advantage of than this one.

Breakfast ok. Pleasant, efficient waitress.

I have been staying at this hotel for 20+ years. Ownership no longer Marriott. Facility very dirty (carpets, furniture, pool looked as if not cleaned in ages). Very surly staff at reception. I have booked at another location for future travel.

This owner/management company really needs to get this Marriottproperty up to Marriott standards. Beginning with the driveway, the entrance has these deep potholes ( the same as years past). The rooms need a serious update and rehab. The buffet was decent ( the staff is doing their best with what they've been given to work with). The lobby/commons areas looks like something has been updated. For as much traffic as this hotel gets, there just needs to be improvement. I'll be lodging at a Hyatt or Hilton property nearby in the meantime for my return visit.

Mold filled hotel. Have a complete headache, sinus issues and itchy from staying here. Lobby seems ok but once you go upstairs things are pretty much just old and dirty. Many things were either not cleaned or even as simple as every trash on the entire property was overflowing. Had to turn off AC as the air was making us sick. Avoid at all costs. Gross.
