Homewood Suites By Hilton Hadley Amherst

My wife and I needed to get away from our house during our renovations and have stayed here before. We love the suite rooms and enjoy the Homewood Suite hotels when we can find one during our travels. s The room was well laid out. Noise from the hallway is barely noticeable. The A/C is also very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the walk in shower. My one gripe (and it's a minor one) is that we needed to bring our cockatiel with us and we had to pay the $75.00 fee because we had a pet. If it was even a small dog, I can understand but as our bird never left the cage (he needed to remain in the cage to reduce the stress of being in a new environment). However, they were up front with their pricing and we needed a place to stay two nights, so life goes on. Overall, this is a really nice hotel. It's close to shopping, UMASS (and other local colleges) and places to eat. Worth staying at.

The room had a kitchenette which was nice. Breakfast was good.

Unacceptable Service My recent stay at this hotel was unacceptable and resulted in a serious disruption that warrants compensation. Due to a malfunctioning door lock, I was locked out of my room overnight. During this time, the rude staff informed me that no maintenance personnel were available to resolve the issue. This left me without access to my belongings, clothing, and—most concerning—essential prescription medications. Rather than treating this as the serious health and safety issue it was, customer service staff were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. No reasonable alternatives were offered, no urgency was shown, and there was a clear lack of accountability. I was repeatedly inconvenienced and effectively displaced, despite having paid for a room I could not access. Being unable to access paid accommodation for an entire night is not a minor inconvenience—it is a complete failure to provide the most basic service a hotel is responsible for. The lack of concern shown for a guest’s health needs only compounds this failure. I hope management takes this review seriously and addresses both the mechanical failure and the customer service breakdown that allowed this situation to persist. I would strongly caution future guests, particularly anyone with medical needs, before booking here.

good food and accommodating staff. When coffee was empty it was readily refilled. also one staff member saw that I was trying to balance 3 cups to bring back to the room and assertively got me a cup tray to make it easier for me. Expansive size of the room, comfortable beds, and kitchen accommodations with full size appliances, including a cook top, dishwasher, full refrigerator and real utensils and plates, glasses and cups.

Can't say there was a dislike.

The location was great and the hotel felt brand new.

Good location. Rooms were nice and very clean.

The breakfast was horrible. The scrambled eggs were burnt. The hash potatoes were not edible. The food was poor in quality. There was no coffee being refilled. People were eating the cereal and toast. Nobody was touching the hot food. I am not sure if the food budget is low but charge more or just offer cold foods. This is the worst Hilton I have ever eaten in.
