Ca dei Nobili

Alessia was an amazing host! She gave us great recommendations for moving about the city, best times to do things and amazing restaurant recommendations. She made reservations for us when needed. We had booked expecting A/C but due to regulations this wasn’t available. Alessia was able to provide us a fan to make the nights comfortable. The room was so clean and nicely decorated. Location was central for walking all around town and very close to the train station. We highly recommend Ca dei Nobili when visiting Genoa!

Would have preferred A/C, but having the fan provided was an acceptable accommodation.

Ca dei Nobili was in a quiet street. The location was convenient to explore Genoa and its main sites. The accommodation was immaculately clean comfortable. The bed was perfect, the shower powerful with plenty of hot water. Alessia, the owner, prepared a continental breakfast and was very helpful with her suggestions about where to go and how to get around. Highly recommend.

Have you ever walked down the street of Genoa, watched the narrow streets and tall buildings close to each other and wondered how real citizens of Genoa live? Actually here is the place to try this out! Nice building, huge doors, old style elevator, round stairs and bunch of keys to get to your room. Just perfect! And very warm Italian welcome from Alessia! Very clean room and premises, very quiet place and neighbors, comfortable bed, bunch of towels, spacey bathroom and small freezer in the room. Good furniture, nothing's broken or not working. Light breakfast, good coffee, what actually surprised us very much was that my wife has food tolerance issues, even though Alessia arranged some set gluten/lactose free for the breakfast what was very unexpected! And have you ever walked for the breakfast in socks? Here's the place you can do it. Overall we enjoyed our short stay here very much. Nice room, great location - 10 minutes walk from the train station, 3 minutes to local market MOG, 10 minutes to Piazza De Ferrari, bus stop in front of the house. Also we got lots of useful info and advises what to visit, where to eat, what to see, where to walk and so on and on. So thank you very much for very warm welcome and if we ever arrive again to Genoa, we are going to stay here again.

Someone might be missing kettle and tea or coffee in the room or at least in common space. What I personally would change - those cold blue color LED bulbs. They are bit annoying, especially when you wake up early in the morning. Neutral or light warm would be much better. Yes, there is no view to the port or to the sea. And the look outside the window ends up at the wall of the next building, but that's the way people live here, so not the point to complain. And while the building is very close to the main street, there might be nights when lots of police or ambulance sirens might be heard. Even thickest windows do not help here a lot.
