Staypineapple, An Elegant Hotel, Union Square

The staff were incredibly friendly, Yesha and Brian! Thank you for making our stay comfortable. Seems like such a small thing but the automatic door opening made me feel welcome and kind of special.

I visited stay pineapple for a conference for 4 days and my experience was not the best, the A.C in the room was not working, the Tv was not working, the WiFi constantly disconnected for I and my wife, the only great thing was the location, they had to give us a standing fan which was inconvenient considering the amount we paid, on the website we were told you get a free day if you stay for 3 but when we called we were told that we had to call the day of the booking which does not make any sense considering it’s nowhere on the website, we were refunded $40 for 2 days of hot room, no good internet service and no working TV, I was not happy with this stay, the rooms are cozy and the staff are friendly but the stay considering how much I was charged + the 200& deposit, all together $1042, $842 was the price after the 40 that was eventually refunded but we weren’t told about, I called and asked but no one informed me of this!!my room was 301 and the $40 refund hurt but I was so busy I couldn’t even argue with them about that, the better solution was giving us a better room but they instead chose a standing fan, making it feel like I was in a $30 a day motel

L’hôtel est très bien situé, les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais très confortables. Literie excellente, grande douche. Jolie décoration. Privilégier les chambres côté cour car très très bruyant coté rue. Bon rapport qualité prix pour cet établissement.

L’hôtel ne propose pas de petit déjeuner mais vous trouverez un excellent breakfast un peu plus bas dans la rue au PINECREST.

The location is very bad situation wise. It is located near Union Square and close to downtown. But the Union Square area is just filled with homeless folks all over. When you leave the hotel, there is at least 20 homeless people on every block for several blocks in any direction you go. They didn't really bother us except a few asked for money, but they still feel threatening, so you have to be very aware of what they're doing. San Francisco city government says they have done a good job cleaning up the homeless situation. They have not. They just moved them out of the business district and other high profile tourist areas, forcing them to other areas of town less traveled. Although the hotel is nice on the inside, there is nothing going on there. It appears there is a small but nice lobby/reception/bar area, but it's shut down and doesn't appear anything is being done to reopen it , so there was no social life in there. No restaurant either. So it's just a place to sleep...if you can. The hotel is right on a major street, so there is noise 24 hours. It's a very old historical style hotel, so it has no noise installation. The rooms are small more like New York style small rooms, but it okay unless you have a lot of stuff. Maybe I would say very cozy.

Excellent customer service from Bryan and Yesha! They have great communication skills and are very friendly. Accommodated our needs and allowed us early check in upon request. The hotel is clean and had comfortable beds! Highly recommended.

This is the cutest little hotel! I took a short solo trip to San Francisco and this hotel was perfect - great location, cozy vibes, and the softest bed I've ever slept in!

The hotel was quaint and reminded me of Parisian properties! The staff was super nice and the location is very close to Union Square!
