Tru By Hilton Wytheville Va

We enjoy staying at Tru hotels, and the one in Wytheville was true to our expectations: clean rooms, updated lobby area, good hot breakfast. The front counter person, Doug, was attentive to our needs, friendly, and efficient. The only reason I give this 4 instead of 5 stars is the bed. The mattress sits on a wooden platform, with two inches all around it exposed to a guest's eyes, and this part wasn't vacuumed or wiped out. The amount of dirt, white skin cells, and boogers, would have filled two sheets on a lint roller. (blech) I had to put it out of my mind, though I did check to see if any of the many specks were moving (they were not-whew). The room was otherwise very clean.

The salt water pool was nice. The room was clean and large enough for my blind husband to navigate safely.

Fruit. No muffins, no yogurts in containers for breakfast

Cleanliness, room size.

We weren't given the hospitality gift and made to pay for our water bottles. We watched others come in after us to check in and receive them.

The heat did not work well. The door to the room was hard to open.

Poor condition of the room, almost no amenities in the room, freezing temperature inside the elevator, etc.
