From the last time I stayed there there is an improvement, Jane has made n effort compared to the previous owners who let it rundown The wifi is stellar as there is not phone reception

The locks of the doors do not function properly, I commented to the owner her answer was that is a safe area! the curtains pined with pins to shut them, the floor of the shower cubicle is slippery, The road to drive to the accommodation is gravel, so if one is an overseas visitor not used to those surfaces it could be dangerous, and may void the rental insurance!

Smooth check-in, room/studio was clean and spacious enough. BBQ available, wifi worked fine. The area is quiet and nice, close to explore waterfalls and other nature features nearby.

Kitchen use is limited, no heavy cooking like fish (you can use BBQ). Towel dryer didn't work.

Lovely friendly welcome. Well set up, nice brekky options, great covered porch. Absolutely loved the easy access to beach and long peaceful walk. Perfect weather helped. Comfy bed, nice linen.

"Great place to stay"

Comfortable and relaxing place to stay in the Catlins. Jane was great, providing some basics groceries such as fresh milk, eggs and butter etc. Lovely, quiet location with great walks nearby.

"Old style cabin with every mod con, in a quiet location , run by a friendly, warm owner"

Close to town and the beach with local walks too. Spacious, light filled, a verandah to sit on in the occasional sun and enjoy the garden and read. A friendly, helpful hostess who provided an excellent continental breakfast along with local info.
