USI liked how close it was to the lakeside area.
I booked two “Superior King” rooms through Booking.com, but the hotel charged an unexpected 3% transaction fee. My card has no foreign transaction fees, so it’s evident this fee was the hotel’s way of recouping costs owed to Booking.com or their payment processor. This practice is highly unprofessional and dishonest. The AC in one of the rooms was broken and did not release warm air, no matter how much I adjusted the settings. The bedding was appalling, with visible blood stains on both the blanket and bedsheet. To top it off, I found a cockroach in the room and had to kill it with one of the slippers provided.
