Hotel Playa Manglares Isla Baru

This hotel is super charming and peaceful. Olga and the staff are wonderful - so warm and welcoming. The beach has lots of shade, and our room was spacious and airy. Perfect for a quiet, peaceful getaway.

Note that it is on the bayside, so the water is calm and dark. If you’re looking for a beach with big waves and a sandy bottom, or lots of excitement, this is t your place.

This was such a special place to stay. Olga and the staff make you feel so welcome. It’s not trying to be a fancy hotel but it’s is an authentic experience - the food is delicious, gorgeous surroundings and fabulous swimming. The sea water is not blue but it is clean and a pleasant temperature and great for swimming. Olga can also help organise outings to the famous aviary and boat/snorkelling trips

This peaceful, tranquil hotel is located on a quiet bay and estuary adjacent to mangroves. The owner, Olga, clearly put a lot of thought into each room, with cozy seating areas and hammocks available in the three rooms we rented, as well as the most wonderful outdoor showers. The food was excellent!!! We wish we had had more time to unwind and enjoy the property, although we were lucky enough to watch the lunar eclipse from comfy beach chairs on the private beach. We felt like honored guests and greatly enjoyed our time at Hotel Playa Manglares!!

We loved it all!! The property is located in a delicate ecosystem and runs on a septic system. Guests should be aware of not overburdening the system.

Olga, our hostess, was so engaging! And, her son, whom we me the next morning was equally charming. The staff was friendly and helpful and the property is beautiful.

L'hôtel est bien entretenu, convivial, petit et calme. Tout est propre, le personnel et la propriétaire sont très gentils et vous aiderons avec plaisir. La nourriture est excellente. La seule raison pour ne pas mettre un cinq étoile est la plage. Nous savions qu'elle était rocailleuse et que l'eau était trouble mais nous ne savions pas qu'elle était pleine de moules coupantes sur plusieurs mètres. Vous devez vous éloigner dans la partie très profonde pour pouvoir pour nager, ce qui n'est pas agréable. Ma fille s'est coupée dès la première baignade. Je tiens a préciser que Olga, la propriétaire a bien pris soin de la blessure. Il est essentiel que vous ayez des souliers de plage, du chasse moustiques et des bouchons si vous êtes sensible au bruit des ventilateurs et parfois des coqs. Les douches froides et l'absence de climatisation ne nous ont pas dérangés. Endroit parfait pour déconnecté.
