Ahau Beachfront Tulum Hotel

Beautiful property, wonderful staff from carrying every bag to excellent service at the restaurant and beach. The morning yoga was breathtaking and so authentic. Incredible energy at the property and highly recommend! Perfect location to walk to all the great restaurants and shops as well.

I absolutely loved my stay at Ahau in Tulum! The vibe was amazing — relaxed yet full of great energy. The food was delicious, the beds were super comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better. The music in January was such a vibe, especially with Set Underground helping bring the magic to life. Can’t wait to come back! 🌴✨

We booked an oceanfront upper Master Suite and are currently staying here now. The room is clean, with amazing views and fantastic balcony space. However, we were placed in room #2, which is located right next to the restaurant and beach club. Upon check-in, I asked about noise level and asked specifically if it was quiet (at least at night) and was told, YES. Absolutely. Starting at noon each day, music has been playing very loudly in our room from the lobby/beach club downstairs. It’s like the speakers are playing in our room directly, ALL DAY. The front desk gave us earplugs, but who wants to wear earplugs all day and into the night? The staff were friendly, and apologized, but ultimately did nothing. We are 3 nights into a 5 night stay, and for the price we paid for the room, really wish we had chosen to stay elsewhere. We are considering checking out early and moving to a new property. If you don’t mind party music & a beach club in your personal space, you’ll love it. If you want a more peaceful experience, look elsewhere, or request a room further away from the lobby upon booking. The grounds are lovely and staff are very friendly and kind, but this is my 2nd stay at Ahau and unfortunately, won’t be returning. Beware of room 2 if you want to sleep, relax or have a conversation without shouting.
