Hotel Lorenz

I took the last available room among hotels in the area I needed. After reading feedbacks expected the hotel to be awful, dirty, noisy with cold shower. But everything was great. It's a simple hotel in an old building. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. My room window faced inside yard, so it was quite. No problems with water, you just need to turn it on and wait a minute until hot water get to 3 floor. No elevator, but it wasn't a problem for me. I was upset there is no breakfast, but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the area. Friendly staff.

Not a big problem, but it would be good to have a tiny refrigirator and a kettle in the room.

The location is excellent.

The total absence of facilities, it is basically a stairwell with rooms, there isn't even a reception. Being able to leave my luggage somewhere would have made a huge difference.

Good location for bars, cafes etc basic but everything you need

Perfect location on the main street of Essen. Comfortable, large room that was basically an apartment. Friendly staff and easy check in. Exceptional value. Would stay again!
