Wakeford Cottage

Nice cottage in very good location.

It was very dirty throughout the house and when I contacted owner, they insisted they had checked the property personally and it was thoroughly clean - felt this opinion was misleading as I took photos of the dirty kitchen, fridge, surfaces and floors throughout. The bathroom floor, loo and bath and sink were dirty, very unhygenic. Recommend a very deep clean of the property before next visitors arrive

Good location, close to the beach and shops.

It wasn’t the cleanest property, the wooden floors needed a good clean, the stairs had all bits on them. The walls were all marked and the cottage smelt musty. Also the tv didn’t work properly. It kept breaking up whilst trying to watch the football. Not good 😂 we also tried to watch BBC4 channel and there was nothing, said problem with the aerial.

Superb location - all facilities advertised were available-peaceful location-plenty of space.

'Fatty/greasy' cooking smell on entering the property. This was present for the whole stay. 'brown' stains on the wall either side of the rocking chair. Dirt below the radiators Dirt on the lower shelve of drop leaf table (These areas have not been cleaned in a long time.) Kettle, disgusting limescale ( had to buy our own) Back door paint peeling off. Cobwebs on the back kitchen window and on the outside light. Outside light not working. Backyard fence very dirty and rusted. The property is in need of a maintenance upgrade to justify the price tag also the 'housekeeping' department need replacing very quickly, they clearly are not 'housekeepers'. If it is location you want go for it, if you want a clean well maintain property avoid at all cost.

The location was great very close into Worthing town centre, also the downstairs toilet was a great feature as being disabled going up the steep stairs would have been a problem for me. Was a lovely little place and we will stay there again.

Nothing really except for the handrail on the staircase being disabled l needed that to get up the stairs and found it difficult to grip as it was all one solid piece. The loose electrical socket on the bedroom wall needs some attention. just minor things really
