Hampton Inn Rochester

No answer to our phone calls. Calls dropped multiple times. Elevator broken had to use stairs. Dirty. Bugs flying around

Forget the downtown places, the Hampton was 10 minutes from the Mayo, significantly cheaper and had free parking. Mayo ramp was affordable as well. Impressively quiet on the 3rd floor. Hotel breakfast including 3 warm items was fine and served until 10 AM weekdays. Pool area and Fitness area open 24 hours. Kwik Trip 2 blocks south, HyVee grocery and Trader Joe's about 5 minutes away. It does have the world's slowest elevator and when it doesn't open for 30 seconds to the 3rd floor you are not actually trapped inside. It will eventually open. Really. Tip - more parking to the right when you enter the parking area from Broadway and you are closer to the elevator from the 'north' lot when you park there.

Check in was great. Rooms are fine. Elevator was broken. Pool and hot tub were dirty. Clumps of hair and gum in the pool.

The inn itself was fine. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience at a business in the neighborhood. A crazed guy threw his bicycle in front of our car and started screaming and cursing at us. He threatened to kill us. Fortunately. we were able to escape unharmed. We think he wanted to claim that we hit him with our car. We were unnerved during our stay there. No fault of the inn.

It's always clean. I stay there on all my trips to Rocester for business.

Staff was amazing at check in.

We stayed for two nights. We were expecting much fancier rooms, for being called a Hilton property and for the price. Rooms were tiny. Walls were thin. People were stomping above our room the entire time. Was hard to relax. The nightly soup was great and so was the free shuttle to the Mayo. The breakfast was just average. The pool and hot tub are open twenty four hours which was neat.

only thing we didn't like was they cleaned our room during our stay and took the shower curtain
