Claimed they only had one room left and we got to the property it was empty all night.. boiling heater was really loud in the room. It's so loud that I barely slept at all. Almost looks like the property was in mid-renovation and not ready to be open.

Very accommodating. The place was clean And had all the amenities that you would need. Enjoyed sitting on the beach and Glen Lake.

I loved the location of this little hotel—it was within walking distance of the lake, less than a minute. The rooms were spacious and clean. I was there with my dog, and he had a terrific time. You can use the hotel kayaks, which is a plus.

Pricy room on the shore, paying for location. Older property that had been renovated. Shower was small.

Been coming up here for years. Never disappoints. Will continue to stay here. It has a real family owned feeling to it.

I loved how cozy the room was, it felt like a studio apartment rather than a hotel.

This place was perfect for a night on our way to backpack in north Manitou, but I would consider it for a multi night stay exploring sleeping bear dunes. Empire is cute and has some dining options. There is also a small beach and sitting area on the lake for the resort. Just a tiny walk away for the room. Kitchenete and fridge, ice machine. Everything you need. Shower is very small and air conditioner loud but not a big deal for us.

It was a convenient place to stay for a night. Nothing fancy except the price.
