Hanchey Bamboo Resort

Le lieu est magique même s’il est relativement loin de Kampong Chan (compter 30 min et 10$ en Tuk Tuk). Le personnel est très avenant. Le côté eco responsable est aussi très présent puisque le personnel est soit des orphelins soit des personnes en difficultés. Le seul problème est qu’il n’y a pas de clim… A part ça, le lieu est fantastique…

The large bamboo bungalow and views of the Mekong were real treat! The restaurant staff and food was nice.

I imagine a few years a go this resort was really something but now it’s very tired and looking a bit sad around the edges, even tho the prices remain the same… the pool particularly was very dirty and unpleasant.

Our stay at Hanchey was unplanned but very nice. The rooms are large and beds are very comfortable. The bathroom shower drained a bit weirdly (the whole bathroom floor flooded), but that was a minor issue. The staff were very nice. The restaurant served very tasty and reasonably priced food. The location is on a hill that overlooks a town and it receives a very nice breeze. We did not take advantage of the yoga classes, but those are offered there as well.

The bungallows and swimming pool are fabulous

The staff barely spoke English and were not caring about us. We have to find them to order something

A big lizard that surprised me 😂

I loved the location being away from the hustle and bustle of the markets and villages Our hut overlooked a valley where we could see the Mekong Delta and a village surrounded by rice fields. The hut was spacious and well presented and offered mosquito nets over the bed. I loved hearing the Geckos at night. Whilst we didn't use the pool as we were only there as a stop over for one night it looked very clean and inviting. The restaurant location was lovely and the breeze from the valley was cooling as it flowed through. . The menu options were limited but food was ok.
