La Quinta by Wyndham Williamsburg Historic Area

A decent breakfast but second day we needed an early start, and had to wait for someone to bring coffee cups. Our issue was check in. Clerk charged $25 each day for our dog, and then charged the $50 twice. The room was nice, and first floor as requested.

The TV & phone not working. I reported to Dwight, who suggested us moving to another room. He could have come to room to check it out, as remote was slow and my husband unplugged tv & got it working. We had already settled & inconvenient to move. For remote he just handed my husband some batteries which didn't help.

Filthy!

It’s supposed to be non smoking but as soon as you enter the hallway you could smell cigarette smoke and the cigarette smoke came through the vents in the bathroom. The next night you could smell marijuana in the hallway.

Room was too confined. No room to move. One king size bed, no sofa, no chair, no nothing. I can’t believe that this is part of Wyndham proprrties.

I had a good experience at La Quinta. The staff was polite and efficient. My room and the hotel were very clean. I liked having a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. There was plenty of parking and the price was a great deal. The hotel is older and the decor is dated, but it was very quiet with solid walls. I was a bit worried because of the low ratings, but I was pleasantly surprised and glad I gave it a chance. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Night shift front desk guy was very friendly and accommodating!

Housekeeping lady (I'm not sure what her position was) constantly standing outside the back door smoking cigarettes. Extreme mold in multiple locations in the room and bathroom. Lady running the breakfast literally raised her voice and yelled at me. There's an abandoned shipping container on the back of the property.
