Green Cottage Chamarel

Amazing location and fantastic views. Beautiful bungalow which is well equipped. Lovely garden.

We were looking for a quiet place to spend a few days in Mauritius with my partner. The Green Cottage exceeded all our expectations. The location is absolutely stunning with a view over the surrounding hills and none around! We could observe the local fauna and flora at will, and even saw some of the amazing mauritian Flying foxes a few meters above our heads!!! The cottage is very spacious with 2 rooms and a well-equiped kitchen. The bay windows enabled us to see the beautiful landscape from the inside of the cottage which was definintely a plus!! Raymond, our host explaied everything to us when we arrived and was really helpful and responsive! Thanks! We absolutely loved our stay! We can only recommend!

Reaching the cottage is a bit tricky. We recommend a good car and not to come back at night.

The tranquility of the place is magical. We loved everything about it.

This was our second stay at "Green Cottage" We were accommodated in the second newly built cottage. The site is a perfect for visits to the nearby Ebony forest. Great kitchen facilities. Comfortable beds. Lovely views and peaceful environment. Host very kind and helpful.

We didn't quite expect to stay in Mussaenda, the newly built second cottage. There were some teething problems with the electricity, etc which was sorted very promptly.

A warm welcome, beautiful property, lovely views, and great location. The cottage is wonderfully secluded, with a beautiful panoramic view of the Chamarel valley. There are many thoughtful touches within the property that will make your stay comfortable and let you enjoy the area to the full. We particularly enjoyed exploring the gardens where you can find local fruits, curious birds, and timid lizards!

A charming cottage in an idyllic location. Almost too good to be true!

If you like nature, silence, comfort and space this is surely a place for you to choose! A comfortable colonial style cottage, with modern appliances and high end fittings and very comfortable beds. The house has everything you would need to feel the holiday mode. But, the most amazing part is ‘having’a hill just for yourself, overlooking the valey and the stars. Our daughter loved the outdoor space- lush green garden, the short down hill walk, the chickens hiding in the bushes and making the fire at night! Thank you Raymond for your kindness and care and giving us the chance to have the full Mauritius experience! Trully a place to remember, keep close to our heart and return in our next holiday in Mauritius!
