Maji Como Lake - Lake Como Historic Villa Apartments with Pool & Parking, 100m from Ferry & train

Everything was perfect! Anna is a great host, the rooms and the garden + pool are very clean. Also the location is great, we never used our car and just used public transportation. You can take the ferry directly from Mandello to Bellagio (55 min) or take the train to Varenna in 12 minutes.

Staying at Anna's place exceeded my expectations in every way! We stayed in the comfortable, spacious and beautiful 2 bedroom apartment that overlooked a beautiful private garden. The beds, pillows and linens were the best we had during our tour of Italy! The town of Mandello di Lario was perfectly tourist free when we visited in May 2023, and had several excellent restaurants. We enjoyed the quaint little bakery (with the BEST canolis ever) within a 1 minute walk, the lakeshore within a 3 minute walk, and the best pizza we tried in Italy within a 3 minute walk. We relied solely on public transportation during our entire stay. Varenna is a 15 minute train ride away, where we caught the ferry to Bellagio, Mennagio Trezzemo. Anna herself is a gracious hostess who anticipated and granted our every need. This is an exceptional find for those looking to experience lago di como as a local and escape the tourists! We hope to be back soon!

Loved our stay! We are a family of 4 (2 small kids) and booked the 1 bedroom apartment. Very comfortable and really well located. Our host Anna was excellent!

Great location, beautiful place Very kind honest!

First of all, an extra nice and helpful owner. The suite was spacious with access to the garden and close to the pool. The building is located 3 minutes walk from the lake, close to the shop, restaurant and ferries stop. Overall a beautiful place. The town itself is also worth recommending - everything is at hand and it is not as crowded as Bellagio or Varenna,

If I had to nit-pick to something, there is only 1 parking space for each apartment, even if the apartment is for two families (fortunately, you can find free parking spaces in the vicinity), the entrance to the property is extra narrow, so there is always a thrill at parking. The kitchen could be a bit bigger and better equipped (some extra pot, pan, toaster). But these are the details. Overall, it's one of the best places I've been on vacation
