"Sad Comfort Inn Sault MI"

Checked out 8/11/25 and got a email receipt showing a $1 charge for a safe fee, after asking at check in if there was one, answer was no. We couldn't care less about $1, but sneaking the charge on our bill is an unconscionable business practice, not to mention a tree stump stupid policy, as we will not go back there on our annual trip thru Sault, ever.. Gotta wonder what level of idiocy involved in such a business practice

Very run down! And I woke up with bug bites! The pool was gross, it had food at the bottom of it, the key cards didn't work, we had to get a new key card every time we returned to our room. We stayed in a suite and the pull out was a single, I've never seen that in all the suites we've stayed in, it was tiny. This hotel definitely needs some updates and cleaning for the price you charge to stay!

This was our third stay here over 2 1/2 years. All 3 times we had to have our keys reprogrammed to get into the hotel and our room. this time it happened 3 different times. The outside door that was the closest to our room did not allow entry due to a card reading problem. All 3 times we had to walk from the back of the building to the office and back. Also there is only one elevator in the building. Breakfast was passible. We will not go back.
