Leonardo Royal Hotel Venice Mestre

Location, minutes walk from bus and train station. Which is like 15 min train ride to Venice. Staff was friendly and helpful with guidance about Venice.

Location - we were on the side facing major train transportation hub with noise. We asked to change the room to the other side but "we are full".

- החדרים הפונים לתחנת הרכבת רועשים - שימו לב לבקש חדר שאינו פונה לתחנת הרכב. - הסביבה פחות נעימה למי שמגיע לבד - יחד זה היה סבבה - ארוחת בוקר בסיסית יחסית - הגיע הזמן ממש לחדש את שטיחי הרצפה..

Everything was great - Leonardo standards

All was good until we went back to pick up our luggage - front desk personal was great handling the return - missing one bag. Management (bald dude) came to front, told her to stop looking go back to front desk, she went back to reception (no one was waiting) and we had to wait until additional hotel staff came to search for the missing bag. We were in a time crunch to catch a train, what should have been a leisurely stroll to the station turned into mad dash dragging luggage back to train station.

My husband & I stayed here last week for 4 nights . We lived the area and so handy for transportation into Venice . Rooms are lovely and were kept immaculate. No need to ask for fresh towels etc as they were replaced every day . Reception staff all very helpful. We ate in Restaurant 3 nights and food was amazing. Marielena was a lovely person and made us feel very welcome and she always made sure we were told about specials on offer. Alice at the bar made us feel welcome and was very attentive. Only thing I could complain about was hot breakfast which was cold every day and certainly didn’t appeal to me . Would certainly return & go for continental option .
