Mardanza House

Airport transfer was arranged by the property manager/host so when we arrived, he was there and helped with the luggage. There are breathtaking views from the property and it’s close to supermarkets, the capital Fira (20mins walk) and a quiet place to be. We were given lots of recommendations for our 3 day stay which was very helpful. Last but not least, the property is walking distance to buddha bar beach club where you can see the best sunset

The location was excellent. We were able to walk approximately 15 minutes into Fira bur there were multiple restaurants nearby. There was also a grocery store and pharmacy within walking distance. We also found a fabulous place for breakfast and the most wonderful lemonade!

I do not have anything negative to say about this property. We were a family of five and we had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable and having two bathrooms was an added luxury! The views were amazing and we enjoyed watching the multiple photo shoots that were taking place in the caldera during our stay.

Excellent location and views

Marinos, our host, was great, very accommodating even when we arrived earlier than the official check in time. He also helped us with the car rental arrangements and other recommendations. The view from the house is just breathtaking and the surroundings are surprisingly quiet and not noisy at all. Taking a bath in the jacuzzi with such view to the caldera is something worth experiencing at least once in a lifetime. In sum, 100% recommended place to stay in Imerovigli!

The mezzanine bedroom upstairs can get a bit too warm, however there is an air conditioning unit in the apartment so you can always turn it on if you feel like it.

My family and I had a very comfortable stay here. The apartment is in the best location, I think it is the best photo location on the island, and it is not crowded! I took many beautiful photos of my mother here! The apartment is big and well-equipped, making you feel like you are at home! I highly recommend everyone to stay here!

The Mardanza house is a great spot in Imerovigli, and highly recommend. They helped us book our transit from the port and also helped when there was a last minute ferry change. The place was very clean and was exactly what the pictures looked like. Walking distance to many restaurants and attractions, loved the view from this property!! We visited end of May/ early June, you cannot see sunset, however it’s less than 1 minute walk to a beautiful and quiet spot to see on the hill. 10/10 would recommend to anyone staying in this area!

The property is priced fairly given the location but as described in the booking, it does not provide the typical "services" you would expect from a £200-400 hotel. That said, I was very disappointed with the outdated TV with no smart features and a verrry creaky bed - features I think should be included given the cost. On the bright side, the location is unbeatable and close to essential amenities and provides some of the best views in the island. Not too noisy despite being in the centre of a busy touristy area and the Jacuzzi is an obvious bonus. Short walk to Fira and a 15 min drive to Oia - the host is knowledgeable and helpful.

Creaky bed Outdated TV

The view of the sea and surrounding cliff side covered in cave houses is absolutely incredible! The house is clean and comfy and the host is very attentive! Everything we needed for an amazing vacation was on hand. Dining and groceries were within easy walking distance.

The only down side is that access is a walk from the road down a couple of paths and then a steep flight of stairs. Most all of the cave houses on the island are like that. Fun and unique, but would be a problem for someone with mobility issues.
