International Hotel Astana

good enough for jazz. I did stay for expo 4 night. Breakfast so so. Hotel cold, water cold. There were Indian people our floor. The men made noise and cooked local meals. :( We said to the reception. But futile...

Price is okey, the 4/5 rating is going because of lack of cleanness specially in the bathroom. The hotel and the rooms show their age but it shouldn't be at the expense of the cleanness. Cleaning service was also poor, almost always had to request the small consumable accesories (as soaps etc.). Breakfast is okey, it should be varied a bit day by day. My total score in percent would be around 75 %

For approx $50 USD a night you cannot argue. Central location. Yes, it's showing its age, but staff were courteous, breakfast perfectly fine. Offers free collection and drop off to the airport, not that I needed it. It is situated on a busy main road so traffic noise on the front of the building is quite noticeable. Traffic in Almaty is chronically bad.

it was my next visit to Astana Int Hotel after some years and I found it practically without changes! This is a good hotel with additional services : room 24 hours, gym and sauna free of charge, good location just in the Centre with short distinctions to all business areas, friendly staff, good breakfast and rooms with balconies.

No internet in the room, signal is very weak. Very hot, AC is not working proper way! I stayed there for three nights, every night was waking up because was really thirsty!!!! I have no other choice than working in lobby because it was only place where the internet was working well!!! Don't know how it is in winter time, but I would strongly recommend to choose other hotel during summer time. For the cost of 22 000 tenge or 121USD you can find plenty other hotels. Never again Astana International!!!! Нет интернета в комнате, жарко как в пекле. Каждую ночь просыпался от того что умирал от жажды. Приходилось работать в лобби потому-что в номере нет интернета!!! Больше не нагой в эту гостиницу!!!

A working city with no natural aesthetics but has tried to make up for it with trendy and eclectic architecture. The people are friendly and warm even if the weather is dreadfully cold. Most of the service staff speak English and are helpful.

The location of hotel is very good within a walking distance of many of the sites like Fantasy World, Central Stadium etc. The price is very reasonable as compare to other hotels in Almaty. Standard rooms are small with basic amenities but without tea kettle. The Hotel is neat, clean and well maintained. Internet connection was not so good. You can get one side free Airport to Hotel transfer but you cannot ask for complimentary water  The breakfast has many options to eat. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is an Indian restaurant "Namaste" which has plenty of continental food options - just need to cross the road. The reception staff was friendly and could speak English.

I did not have big expectations so was surprised with rather satisfactory service, rooms and breakfast. As usual pros and cons of the place PROS -great central location - nice lobby but not 4 star standard - decent rooms with great amenities (bath robe, good quality slippers) -satisfactory breakfast -nice staff CONS - do not expect international 4 star - no leisure facilities - bed is maximum 3 star standard-that's where to improve Overall good for basic expectations

This is an average business hotel but a very clean one. Though the hotel is very very old, I think they kept it neatly. Best part is you have airport pick up and drop free of charge... This one definitely deserves a good rating for locality and breakfast but they need to do something with the decor. Its very 80's style and not in the historical way either... Dont try calling for room service.. noone answers at any time of the day :)

Despite the fact that the hotel is not new, I immediately liked it. Conveniently located in the center. Normal breakfast. Rooms are clean. Intrenet fast and available anywhere in the hotel. In the lobby, there is a cafe where you can eat delicious and not expensive.
