Affordable and great breakfast

Lovely hotel with a pretty courtyard and grand interior. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and provided an excellent laundry service and luggage storage. The breakfast was good.

We had a courtyard room which smelled slightly damp and was a bit cold. There was an extra blanket which we could use.

Great experience! Thanks to all the staff we had an amazing stay. Hotel is in the middle of old city and very accessible. Breakfast was great.

Excellent location in the heart of the vibrant historic Center. Room had a small fridge which we found useful. The breakfast was excellent- fresh fruit salad, eggs cooked any style, rolls and sliced bread, jam, butter coffee, cheese. Delicious and filling to start the day. A very nice lady greeted us with a smile and served breakfast. We ate a nice lunch when we arrived at a restaurant - same name is the hotel- ( a short walk). Try not to get the rooms closest to the front desk- as that area tends to be a bit noisier than the rooms in the courtyard area. There is a nice baker around the corner.

The hotel is very close to the central park but on a much quieter street, which means it's convenient for walking to the nearby attractions but also very silent at night. This calmness combined with the very comfy mattress helped us get a much needed rest at the end of each day. The staff is cheerful and kind, and they helped us with everything we asked from them. Every corner of the building we visited was very clean and well maintained, including the bathrooms. The addition of modern elements (mostly in the rooms) to the overall old-fashioned atmosphere of the place gives the hotel a unique feel.

* Very few options for breakfast. Only one type of juice, no cold cuts or meats or sausages, just one type of cheese and one flavor of yogurt, no pastries, no veggies and just 3 kinds of fruits, no hot dishes except for eggs - which sadly means none of the delicious motes that can be enjoyed while in Cuenca are available either. * Soft pillows that provide no cervical support. * Some rooms have no windows at all, so sadly no sunlight and no fresh air in them. * Limited number of available power outlets. Not a big problem for us, but business-oriented travelers might find this slightly inconvenient.
