Phillipe was a great host. Breakfast was really nice. I love my over easy eggs in the morning with my continental breakfast. We boght the multi bus pass and went everywhere we wanted to go. Catching the bus only took about 5-7 minutes and was always in walking distance. I would stay here again as the location was conveneient to see all of upper, lower, and Old Quebec.

Staying at the apartment of the Chateau was like renting with a VRBO. We were tucked at the back end of the building and no access to the Chateau that we knew of. Also had to access the courtyard/garden via the back street and stairs into the garden and out above the garden. Because this was an apartment with kitchen we were not able to take part in the Chateau breakfast which was a surprise to us upon check in. However, we had plenty of room for 3 older ladies and the patio/deck overlooking the garden area was very nice. The Chateau is quite a long walk from the more tourist areas and we were not able to figure out the public bus routes.

Incredibly beautiful B&B.

Don't be fooled by the pictures! We were given a 'college dorm' looking room, told we had an outside through the garage door entrance (back door) with fire-escape style steps, both up and down and that we did not have access to and were told not to enter the 'charming B&B' we EXPECTED that we were purchasing and the reason for our stay. 4 (or was it 5?) keys to different doors were not labeled and confusing. When we requested help locating restaurants and an umbrella Philip couldn't recommend anything-- even with a Michelin Star restaurant 1/2 block away that everyone else in the city seemed to know about. Food left in fridge and cupboards, no soap... I could go on and on. The location was lovely.

My colleague and I were happy to stay in this beautiful old building, and we were very happy to be in walking distance of Old Quebec City.
