Le Château du Faubourg B&B

It is rather unassuming from outside, but beautifully decorated within. We felt we were in a Grand French Chateau. One draw back is the many stairs you must climb to get to your room.

What a beautiful place! Truly remarkable building and furnishings. So charming! We loved our stay there. But, I will say, the 3rd floor rooms are a LONG way up the stairs, though!

Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast every day was amazing. Would definitely stay here again. Also very close to the the Old Quebec City.

Fantastic historic mansion, ornately decorated in period furniture and furnishings. Like stepping back into the Gilded Age. That alone would make the stay remarkable. The room was comfortable and spacious, with in room coffee and fridge in addition to the provided breakfast. 3 fights of stairs so pack accordingly. Parking was 5 blocks away but safe and secure.

My friend and I booked Le Château du Faubourg for our recent trip to Quebec City. We chose it for the incredible (over the top) décor, the convenience of the location and the reasonable price. We were not disappointed! The breakfasts were excellent and the many shops and restaurants near the B&B were great. We especially enjoyed a creperie literally one block away. Delicious cider and crepes! I would highly recommend Le Château du Faubourg. Just one word of warning - there are lots of stairs, so make sure you are ready to get lots of exercise.

It's in an excellent location, and the main building is beautiful, with a lovely central courtyard and fountain. The suite we had out back was adequate and spacious, but not in very good condition: it smelled dank and of cigarettes, the fridge was sticky with old abandoned food and also smelled quite bad, the sheets did not fit the bed, and the inner bedroom doorknob came off while I was inside, so I would have been trapped if there hadn't also been a balcony door. I still couldn't get into the rest of the apartment, though (my keys were in the living room), so I phoned the front desk. At first the innkeeper said I'd have to wait until the breakfast service was over, but he did come with a spare set of keys when he realized I couldn't get into the rest of the apartment. He said he'd fix the bedroom doorknob later that day, but still hadn't by the time I checked out.
